One last note. Using Microsoft Expression Web when I go into the admin.html file and hold ctrl and hit the php_guestbook_php link it finds the file so I know that it can see it!

I have installed everything listed. PHP version 5.3.6.0, GDI Library and the geo ip file. I am running windows 7. It does not post when I hit submit. I have set permissions for windows. I'm sure I could get it going if I could enter the admin page but when I enter the default password it says php_guestbook_php could not be found. Every file is in the folder as it came. Any help would be appreciated as I'm setting up the guest book for a memorial page I built for my mother who recently passed away. The link is http://eaglesnest.dyndns.biz/Carol%20Ann%20Horine%20Pitts.htm You will see the guestbook link on the left side about 1/4 of the way down. Also when you load the guestbook it takes forever trying to load trying to download the GetCaptcha.
Thank you! Jerry

Hello Andrea, Thank you for your suggestions.

Posted by AndreaMarch 18, 2011 - 02:45 pm
Hello Ashley, in order to have multiple guestbooks you need to have multiple installations of the software (unless you are using the wcs), in distinct folders. The suspicious activity message has to do with the ajax verification, it could be that you did not carry over ALL the required javascript from the provided html template. I suggest you try with an out of the box install in a brand new folder, and use the provided html page as a guestbook. Once this works, you build from there. Then, for any additional guestbook, you can create a new folder and start over.

I wish to have multiple guest books on my site. When I install the guest book on a second page and try to enter a comment, I get a message that says script stopped for suspicious activity. Please help.

hello world

Love the Guestbook - so easy to use - worth the $10 for upgrade - it will soon be up on a site I'm working on - www.mervynbeamishartist.com

Could I add to a wishlist anothe check box for people to be added to the mailing list - I think all is present in the current script just possibly needs another text file that only lists name and email address.

Hello Nick, the relevant code is in php_guestbook.php:

by default all fields are included. You should put some if statement to include only the fields you want. Can you understand some php? Regards - Admin
